hope all of you who celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday had a fantastic day off! I know I did. I didn’t do anything amazingly fancy, mind you. I had some delicious food with my family, which is more than enough for me. The rest of the day was spent working on coding for here and my job.

I’m definitely thankful for the fact that I managed to not gorge myself until I could eat no more! Lastly, I am thankful that the majority of the maintenance has been completed. Not all of it has been put into effect yet, but there shouldn’t be any additional downtime.

Didn't you know? They design these for maximum uselessness, and it would be against the laws of nature for them to offer anything of any real use as such.

It makes me wonder if we should make it impossible to post unless you have an account, as well as no longer allowing new members to post links in forum. It's a shame we should even need to consider these steps, but what else can we do.

i'm trying to talk to atreus and josh about figuring out a way to lower the spam down a bit (lots of deleting lately), but haven't had a chance to really talk to the either of them yet (and they haven't seemed to be online in a while... on AC, that is).

News Test is supposed to be connected to the main site, so one can just post directly on the main site and it shows up in the forum, which is why there's so much spam that occurs only in News Test. gotta figure out a way to stem the flow a bit tho. x__x

and sorry about kind of ceasing the PMing we were doing, i didn't have a chance to reply at that time (in a couple of days though, yes).

1) When we upgrade the forum virtually all of this damned spam and fake member signups should come to a halt (this will happen when Jeff gets some free time and I remember to prod him since i don't want to screw up anything with the "bridge" between the site and forum that he implemented)

2) Guests should only be able to post in this forum as it's for the site comments, everywhere else you'd need to be a member

3) ACK!! Two months behind my original deadline for the site reopening :< I just need to kick myself in the butt and get working
