Ken Akamatsu, creator of Mahou Sensei Negima, has revealed a third Negima series or a Negima anime film will be greenlit if the Negima Ala Alba OVA DVDs sell well enough. Reportedly, if 50,000 copies of the DVDs are sols, a Negima film would become possible, and if 100,000 copies are sold, a third Negima series would be produced. Unfortunately for Negima fans, Animenation reports that in 2007 the only anime DVD to surpass 100,000 copies sold was Ged Senki from Studio Ghibli.
