  • Bleach DVD #6 Bleach DVD #6 is the beginning to one of the best story arcs in anime I have ever seen. Unlike most shounen anime, fights in the Bleach Soul Society arc are fast-paced, loaded with substance and never dull.

    Hikaru no Go DVD #10 This is a perfect example of an anime I've continuously put off to the side for later, and yet when i finally get aroudn to it I fall in love with the series and beat myself up for not viewing it earlier!

    Naruto the Movie DVD The latest mission for our favorite ninja team? Protect and escort a spoiled actress to her next film set. Oh, and keep her from running away of course!

    Ping Pong DVD Ping Pong is a great film that blew away all my expectations and completely changed my negative view towards live actions movies. The story of friendship development through competition is superb. This is a must-see.

Chicago International Film Festival Anime Screenings

The Chicago International Film Festival announced it will continue last years Anime Focus programming, featuring The Girl Who Leapt Through Time on Friday, October 5 at 5:15 pm, with repeat showings on October 7th and the 13th. Atoagoal: Cat’s Magical Forest will be screened on October 6 at noon, with repeat showings on October 7th and the 9th. Brave Story will wrap up the Anime Focus programming on October 6 at 2:45 pm, with a single repeat on October 14th.
