  • Bleach DVD #6 Bleach DVD #6 is the beginning to one of the best story arcs in anime I have ever seen. Unlike most shounen anime, fights in the Bleach Soul Society arc are fast-paced, loaded with substance and never dull.

Hikaru no Go DVD #10 This is a perfect example of an anime I've continuously put off to the side for later, and yet when i finally get aroudn to it I fall in love with the series and beat myself up for not viewing it earlier!

Naruto the Movie DVD The latest mission for our favorite ninja team? Protect and escort a spoiled actress to her next film set. Oh, and keep her from running away of course!

Ping Pong DVD Ping Pong is a great film that blew away all my expectations and completely changed my negative view towards live actions movies. The story of friendship development through competition is superb. This is a must-see.

Adult Swim has updated their October schedule to include 3 new currently unknown series, at least one of which is assumed to be an anime. The schedule can be found here; it would come to no surprise (to me) if Death Note just happened to take one of these time slots. Cowboy Bebop will also be returning tonight (September 17) at 1:00 am ET and will air every Monday through Friday into October until all 26 episodes finish.

The Sitges 2007 cinema festival will be screening Brave Story, Tales from Earthsea, Tekkonkinkreet, and Vexille as part of its long animation programming. Franz Kafka’s A Country Doctor, Lost Utopia, and Wolfie the Pianist will be in the short anime category. The live action films Dororo and Mushishi will also be screened at the event. Sitges 2007 will be held in Sitges (just outside Barcelona, Spain) from October 4th to the 14th.
