Funimation has announced it will premiere its new One Piece dub at the Anime Weekend Atlanta convention this Sunday, September 23 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. The first three episodes of season 3 are planned to be screened. One Piece is scheduled to reappear on Cartoon Network starting with episode 144 on September 29; DVDs will be released in 2008.

One Piece movie 9 has been announced and will open in theaters March 2008. The official movie’s website is hosting both a trailer and promotional video.

Mattel has issued a recall on five of its action figures including the Riple Slash Zolo Roronoa One Piece figure. Magnets within the hands and the hilt of the sword Zolo carries; these magnets could be swallowed by young children after falling off the toys.

To celebrate its one-year anniversary, Toonami Jetstream will begin adding a few more popular anime to its lineup. One Piece will begin airing on August 13 and Dragonball Z on September 10. Zoids Genesis, Eyeshield 21, and IGPX will also be added at an unconfirmed date (as early as this fall).
The free online video service currently airs new episodes of Hikaru no Go, MÄR, Mega Man Star Force, The Prince of Tennis, as well as reruns of Dragonball, Naruto, and Pokemon.
