  • Bleach DVD #6 Bleach DVD #6 is the beginning to one of the best story arcs in anime I have ever seen. Unlike most shounen anime, fights in the Bleach Soul Society arc are fast-paced, loaded with substance and never dull.

    Hikaru no Go DVD #10 This is a perfect example of an anime I've continuously put off to the side for later, and yet when i finally get aroudn to it I fall in love with the series and beat myself up for not viewing it earlier!

    Naruto the Movie DVD The latest mission for our favorite ninja team? Protect and escort a spoiled actress to her next film set. Oh, and keep her from running away of course!

    Ping Pong DVD Ping Pong is a great film that blew away all my expectations and completely changed my negative view towards live actions movies. The story of friendship development through competition is superb. This is a must-see.

Canada’s YTV television network has confirmed the premiere of the Death Note anime series for Friday, October 26 at 10:00pm (ET/PT). Death Note was previously scheduled to debut on the network on September 7, 2007, but was removed from the lineup with no explanation.

Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa is also scheduled to air on YTV Friday, October 19 at 9:00pm (ET/PT).

The August sales number for graphic novels has been posted on ICv2. The statistics come primarily from comic stores surveyed by Diamond, so the manga numbers may in fact be higher than stated. Nineteen manga volumes made it into the top 100 list, including Fruits Basket volume #17 taking the third place and Fullmetal Alchemist volume #14 ranking in at number 12. Guest appearances have been announced for the Anime Bento Festival showings of Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles on September 19, and at Fullmetal Alchemist: The Movie - Conqueror of Shamballa on September 20. A Harmony Gold staff member will appear at all the Robotech showings in Los Angeles, Nashville, and San Diego. Six Funimation voice actors will make appearances at the Arlington, Atlanta, and Houston showings of the Fullmetal Alchemist movie. A full list of the Anime Bento screenings can be found here.

Fullmetal Alchemist volume 14 has forged its way to rank 148 in the USA Today Top 150 best-selling books for August 6-12. Fruits Basket volume 17 has taken the 99th sot and Bleach volume 20 holds on in its third week, ranking in at 140.
