  • Pumpkin Scissors Pumpkin Scissors begins in the Royal Empire, a country that has endured a long war with the Republic of Frost, but has just declared a ceasefire. This leaves the country, torn by war, to try and piece itself back together.

    Bleach DVD #6 Bleach DVD #6 is the beginning to one of the best story arcs in anime I have ever seen. Unlike most shounen anime, fights in the Bleach Soul Society arc are fast-paced, loaded with substance and never dull.

    Hikaru no Go DVD #10 This is a perfect example of an anime I've continuously put off to the side for later, and yet when i finally get aroudn to it I fall in love with the series and beat myself up for not viewing it earlier!

    Naruto the Movie DVD The latest mission for our favorite ninja team? Protect and escort a spoiled actress to her next film set. Oh, and keep her from running away of course!

Bandai Entertainment has announced it will premiere both Code Geass and Lucky Star at the New York Comic Con this weekend. Two episodes of both series will also be screened for free at the ImaginAsian Center on April 26 in Los Angeles. Voice actors Steve Blum, Wendee Lee, and Kari Wahlgren are expected to attend the LA event.

Code Geass will also debut on Adult Swim April 26.

The official Speed Racer live action website has posted a new two minute streaming and downloadable trailer.

DreamWorks has announced their license for a 3D live-action adaptation of Masamune Shirow’s Ghost in the Shell manga.

Warner Home Video and DC Universe have announced that the animated film Batman Gotham Knight will premiere at Wizard World Chicago on June 28. Full press release after the jump.

VIZ Media has announced a two-night 300 US theater screening of the live-action Death Note film on May 20 and 21 at 7:30pm. The special screenings will include a 20 minute feature on live action manga adaptations. Ticket information can be found in the full press release after the jump.
