Doujinshi Artist Fined ¥300,000

A Japanese doujinshi artist has been fined ¥300,000 (about US$2,600) for distributing obscene doujinshi of Pretty Girls to Tokyo bookstores and retailers. Prosecutors claimed the artist printed 11,000 copies of his work and began distributing them in 2005 and 2006 for profit.
